We are back and YCRD is recruiting for 2022! We are back and YCRD is recruiting for 2022! Starting Monday, January 10th we will be hosting an 8 week training program that will help you build the knowledge and skills required to navigate the sport of roller derby. Our training program is open to anyone age 18+, whether you have skating experience or not. YCRD is fully gender inclusive, we welcome skaters of all gender identities. Training cost is a flat rate of $60, this cost covers your rink fees for the entirety of the program. Not interested in full contact? You may join the bootcamp for the fitness aspect of roller derby as well. You will gain the same skill, knowledge and endurance it takes to play without the gameplay. Information on skating or non skating official will be readily available via email or messenger. *Covid Safety Measures* Currently YCRD is not mandating vaccinations. What we do ask is that at the beginning of each training session you fill out a simple wellness survey and a quick temperature check. Masking optional but encouraged as we would like to keep everyone safe and healthy due to the close nature of our sport. York City Derby Dames is a non profit amateur sports league located in York, Pa. Determined and energetic, skating members are dedicated to reaching a new level of athleticism. Self-disciplined and professional, we operate under Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) requirements. Our mission is to give empowerment to the community of the women of York County by providing structured training, instruction, competition and an opportunity to open a chapter of positive reinforcement in the lives of those involved in this sisterhood of common interests.
