Suspect Found Dead After Deputies Find Body In Highlands Ranch

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The Douglas County Sheriff's Office asked the public to avoid the area near Park Central Drive in Highlands Ranch. They say there is an active crime scene near Lucent Boulevard and Plaza Drive. A shelter in place was lifted at around 12:30 p.m., sheriff's officials say. A Douglas County Sheriff's official tells CBS4 there a woman was found dead in a vehicle in front of the Mad Greens restaurant, but further details were not released. They add this is not an active shooter investigation. They are calling this a homicide investigation. UPDATE- A suspect has been located and is deceased. There is no longer any danger to the community from this incident.
