Description
The only owner to a 2010 Toyota Corolla. My son hit a deer last week. It wasn’t bad and deer walked away, but it caused internal damage. He drove her to work. Apparently this caused fluids to go everywhere. They say she needs an engine, radiator, possibly another transmission but they’re not sure about that. They say she’s not worth fixing. These accidents could be worse so I am happy it was just the car to suffer, however, I don’t want to give up on her. She’s never given me issues, never left me sitting, never asked for much beyond normal wear and tear, oil changes, etc. She’s over 200K miles but she wasn’t dying anytime soon.
They don’t seem interested in fixing her or giving me a quote. I saw used parts online. While it may be pricey to repair her, I want to do what I can. Does anyone repair cars as a side gig or is there a shop that takes on these kind of projects? I’m not wealthy, hence the same car for almost 12 years, but I don’t think putting in a few grand to save her would be a terrible waste of money if someone thought she could be saved. Maybe I’m crazy, I don’t know. Maybe I just need a second opinion to know for sure. She’s not running. I’m contemplating having her towed home until I know my next course of action. I won’t be in a rush for the repair so if you’re someone willing to take a look and take on a project for an affordable rate plus cost of parts, email me. Thank you
I think they had to break open hood. Might need another hood.
