PITTSBURGH, PA — Dr. Oz is running for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, but he lives in New Jersey. Anyone have a problem with that?
The celebrity surgeon announced his bid to succeed the retiring Pat Toomey, but Oz's connections to Pennsylvania are flimsy at best. He went to graduate school in Philadelphia and his in-laws live in suburban Philly.
Oz's fame likely makes him a viable candidate for the Republican nomination, but should it given his residency issue? Only time can answer that question.
