Recent relocatee from Seattle to NY, Composer seeking drummer capable of executing complex rhythms (somewhere between Ed Blackwell, Billy Cobam, Dale Crover, Dave Lombardo). Must have basic understanding of metric modulations, ability to groove, understanding of improvisation. Bassist comfortable within same parameters needed but can add later as most of this music is played in lower registers, baritone range mostly. Music lies firmly in the “avant-metal” realm ala SUMAC, Burning Witch, King Crimson, early Genesis, EARTH, SUNNO))), certain, more serious Melvins pieces, Pink Floyd aka Meddle era. Text if interested
