Description

Hello! As the title suggests, I'm interested in meeting one or two other musicians interested in exploring a music project, through jamming and conversation, where the goal is primarily to experiment and come up with original songs. I don't want to spend any time on covers and I don't aim to be a gigging professional. That said, if we came up with music that was truly beautiful, it'd be great to get it out there in some fashion. If you are passionate about music, want to practice and be involved in a project, but are irked by the immediacy of 'alright, we rehearse and then we hit the gig circuit', this might be a good match. I primarily play rhythm guitar and some bass and have been mixing those sounds with drown-out sound from my Moog. I also enjoy simple acoustic guitar and singing. Overall, I'm a dabbler and what I do is at an intermediate level. You don't need to be a professional by any means but should have a handle on the skills you're developing. Bringing some singing into the mix would be helpful, also perhaps keys, strings of some sort? Many, many musical influences here, five groups perhaps more specific to my thoughts around a project are: Beach House, Mazzy Star, Sigur Ros, Massive Attack, and Pink Floyd. Have you been wowed by any of these artists? I'm a 44 year-old who works full-time and would be able to meet once or twice a week. I'm hesitant to put an age minimum on my request, though it'd probably work out best if you were at least 30. No maximum age. Beyond being a (vaccinated) kind human being, I have no other personal stipulations for your involvement in this. Let me know if (and how) you're interested and we'll start up a dialogue. Thank you!
