Compensation: 40,000 a year Hours: Monday-Friday 8 hours a day We are looking for 2 Kitchen Fire Protection Technicians. These individuals will be responsible for: Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Kitchen Exhaust Installation Kitchen Exhaust Inspections and Maintenance. Kitchen Fire Suppression Installation Kitchen Fire Inspections and Installations Fan Repair, Installation, and Maintenance Makeup Air Balancing and Installation You will be following NFPA 96, 17, and 17a. You will be also following Mechanical codes as well. **Training will be provided** **Schooling Provided** This position entails the following Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning: Using a pressure washer Harsh chemicals Climbing up and down ladders to get on and off the roof of locations Getting covered in grease Being outside in extreme and cold at times Driving company truck to and from locations Fan Repair and Maintenance: Mechanical repair on exhuast fans High location that requires lift work and pitched roofs Belt changes Motor swap outs Installing fans and curbs Working with electrical wiring Kitchen Exhaust Installations: Installations of exhaust hoods Welding Installing stainless steel sheets Using a boom lift and scissor lifts Getting into small crawl spaces Carrying and fabricating iron and stainless steel Lots of metal cutting Measuring Kitchen Fire Suppression and Extinguishers: Inspection of fire extinguishers and suppression systems Inspections Plumbing work Cutting and measuring Other scopes: Delivering equipment Traveling and staying over night (at times) What we need from you! You must have a driver license Reliable transportation to and from the New Paltz or Kingston area Knowledge in plumbing, electrical, welding, pressure washing or in this field is always a plus.
