I have worked through all of the hurt and anger and my heart still pines for you as well. When my heart asks me why these days my answers are a bit gentler than they were at an earlier point in time. How it all could have been different if on that August afternoon I hadn't been put out on the street in Queens. Friday afternoon traffic in the summertime. It took me 2 hours to get over the Whitestone bridge. Ouch. That hurt. Later being presented with what felt like fake "sweethearts" (since I never was) seemed like being asked to collect a participation prize. Then once my dad came to spend his last days with me there was no room for anything, just work and caring for him full time all the time. It was exhausting. I truly wish you well JJ. Wish it went down differently but alas, timing is everything. Take care.
