On my way home on South 1st Street, about an hour ago (after 2:00 AM, Sunday, 5 December 2021), I encountered a dog who bounded up to me and slobbered on my wrist in a friendly way and then took off. I could feel it had a collar when it approached me and I petted its head. It was headed north on 1st street and took off running down Herndon Lane. If this dog is yours, I have no more information than what I provided, other than it had a large head and a square-looking jaw. It was fit and lean with long legs. Possibly a pit-bull mix however I have so little knowledge of dog-breeding that this may be inaccurate. Good luck finding your missing animal.
