Hotel Maintenance Technician

Description

The qualified candidate will be responsible for handling repairs and work orders on a daily basis. This includes troubleshooting and basic repairs on electrical and mechanical systems such as HVAC and plumbing and other equipment, conducting ongoing maintenance programs, inspecting property to identify potential and current needs, and completing maintenance logs. Must be able to know when to contact contractors for extensive work and repairs. Maintenance personnel will perform general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained. Responsibilities include: • Ability to assess needs and areas for repair • Perform preventative maintenance procedures • Keeping a consistent preventative maintenance schedule • Making sure all daily/weekly/monthly/annual inspections are being made • Check machinery is working correctly • Inventory and keeping items in stock • Daily inspections and performing needed fixes and assessments • Keeping property clean conducting exterior lot pick up and remove trash • Keeping records of all duties performed • Respond to all maintenance calls • Maintains Pool/ Spa cleanliness, troubleshoot, and accurate record of pool readings • Painting, and paint touch ups • Carpet Cleaning • Help with other projects • Assists in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/ or replacement • Assists in checking and makes repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment and irrigation • Tear down and set for meetings • Perform additional duties as the need arises • Prioritize according to urgency • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress • Follows company policies and procedure *** Must have own transportation This job requires a positive attitude and a commitment to excellent customer service.
