Friday, December 17th 7pm Saturday, December 18 2pm & 7pm Sunday, December 19 2pm The Moretown Town Hall Tickets $15-$20 New this year, a witchy Godmother Drosselmeir shares her shadow puppet show and a Valkyrie female Nutcracker who battles the dark shadows with the help of brave Marie and more! Join Marie on a magical adventure, as she follows the Nutcracker Princess from her Vermont home through snow-enchanted forests to the magical Land of the Sweets. Whether you’re seeing it for the first or the fifteenth time, The Green Mountain Nutcracker will transport you to a familiar-made-fantastical world. From the petite Sheep to the Maple Sugar fairy, you’ll delight in the many colorful, local characters that give this close-to-home and dear-to-heart interpretation its name. Set in Vermont in the 1970s, this one-of-a-kind production features an all-ages, 60+ member cast of professional company dancers and scores of local students, all-original choreography by Christine Harris, Brandy Perez and Bridget Wheeler, set to both Tchaikovsky’s familiar score and original music by Vermont musician, Colin McCaffrey, as well as a delightful array of locally made sets and costumes.
