Trans and Queer Centered Community Gathering and Potluck! (Meal will be provided, feel free to bring food/refreshments/art supplies!) General Come make art, participate in open mic/karaoke, photo booth and enjoy a meal with the community members and allies! Meal will be provided feel free to bring, not obligated. **Please RSVP by facebook/eventbrite or email colton@cakesocietyco so we have any idea of how much food or supplies to bring! Spend holiday time with the community in a gender-affirming space. See Accessibility and Mask info below. Our Happy, Health, Trans and Queer Holiday event will be a way for all individuals to feel support from our community through celebrating joy, togetherness and visibility. While all of CAKE Society Co centers the BIPOC, Immigrant, Trans and Gender-Expansive Community, all events are open to LGBTQ+ Members and Allies! Event Schedule: From 12-1:30PM we will be 100% masked. 12-12:30: Check in, pronouns, socializing 12:30-1:30: Trans/Queer Open Art Hour Mic for karaoke, poetry, spoken word will be available. Come show off your talent! Limited arts and crafts supply will be available on-site, or bring your own art! From 1:30-3:00PM we will be providing food. We will have a hot coco bar available during this time. 1:30-2:45: Meal and refreshments, while others may take this time to socialize or continue doing art. 2:45-3:00PM: Closing Remarks Other Accessibility Info: Masks will be required for the non-eating portion of our event. There are three gender-neutral bathrooms on the same level of the building as the Event, with no steps dividing the spaces. There is an ADA-compliant bathroom with grab bars in another area of the church. To access this bathroom from the event, attendees will need to exit into the parking lot and enter the church again via the wooden rainbow ramp. This event will take place 5-7 mins walking distance from the Clarendon Metro Stop. Street Parking is available, or limited parking next to 1308 N Irving Street.
