Winter sowing is an easy and fun way to start seeds. This zero waste method lets Mother Nature do most of the work. Everything you need to know about winter sowing is in this workshop. We will be winter sowing jugs with seeds and soil, all supplies are included in the fee. You'll have access to Susan, your teacher, for follow up questions in the spring when its time to transplant your strong and hardy winter sowed seedlings.. Susan Rubin is a food and environmental educator and a community garden evangelist who dreams of a county wide network of community gardens. This network of gardens will help to address sustainability, reslience, public health and hunger in our county.
