At Pavement Coffeehouse, Prep Cooks are vital in producing the quality foods that our retail locations serve to our customers. Care about food quality and the ability to follow preparation standards are important to ensure that customers receive the same quality ingredients at each of our cafe locations. You will: -Follow a prep list assigned to you each day. -Prepare food, vegetables, and spreads according to recipes and sanitation guidelines. -Maintain a clean and food safe work area at all times. -Ensure all products are clearly labeled and organized. -Assist with cleaning of dishes and kitchen equipment. -Perform all other duties assigned. Below are some of the physical demands the job will make of you. • Ability to stand and walk for longs period of time. You'll be on your feet for most of the day moving between stations. • Use of hands to reach, grip & perform specific movements. You'll use your hands to handle knives, use utensils (among other responsibilities) • Squat, bend, and reach for items below your waist and above your shoulders. For example, you will need to bend down into a fridge to grab product, or reach above to grab cups • Ability to push/pull, lift/carry or move up to 50 pounds. For example, you'll handle gallons of milk, daily food orders, change trashes and carry dishes • Climbing stairs and ladders. You may need to use a step ladder to reach something or navigate up & down stairs to access storage areas. • Ability to listen and speak.
