Portland, Oregon has experienced over 150 days of protests, often accompanied by riots. Hear a Portland Chaplain and a Portland officer. Over 150 days of protests in Portland, Oregon - and sometimes the protests have turned violent. Many officers have been injured. Come hear a Portland Chaplain and a Portland Officer share their story. Learn from them some ideas and tips on how you can best serve the officers in your department.You will also hear from Officer/Chaplain Chris Amos, a Medal of Valor recipioent. Chris was shot twice by a drug suspect. He returned fire, fatally wounding the assailant. Chris' worst nightmare was yet to come, however. Years later his son became an officer also. He became sick and due to an allergic reaction to his meds, died in the presence of his father. We encourage all chaplains to attend, as well as pastors, church staff: anyone and everyone concerned about thier local police. Price is only $25.00 and lunch is included.
