We ask that everyone bring two dozen cookies, this way you will be able to give 1-2 cookies to everyone depending on how many attend. Our biggest event in Windy City Food Swap history was our cookie swap back in 2019. So we are deciding to skip November and move the cookie swap a little earlier in the month of December in hopes we will have as many of you join as possible! We will have the community room in the back of Burning Bush reserved just for us. This swap is a little different in the sense that we will be swapping cookies with everyone who attends, so no worries if you will prefer to wear your mask the entire time. We ask that everyone bring two dozen cookies, this way you will be able to give 1-2 cookies to everyone depending on how many attend. Post on the wall with any questions! A food swap is a simple idea — participants bring some homemade food, anything from jams to cookies to homemade beer, which they use to barter for other homemade items. Then there’s time to socialize and have a drink or two. Everyone is welcome and everyone is welcoming. You’ll get to share your favorite homemade foods, have a reason to try that new recipe, go home with a variety of foods to sample and share with your friends and family, and meet some of your fellow food-loving Chicagoans. What could be better?
