Candlelit Restorative Yoga with Energy Work
This weekly class is designed to help you release the stress of the week and flow into your weekend restored, rebalanced, and rested. Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds of restorative yoga, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body. In other words: it's half the effort with double the results!
Benefits of Restorative yoga include: enhanced flexibility, inner peace, balanced nervous system, boosted immune system, and improved mood. It has been specifically proven to support recovery from adrenal fatigue associated with ongoing stress and anxiety.
We'll be offering non-touch energy work from both reiki and shamanism to those interested. The TOTEM Oak Park space will be candlelit, peaceful and supportive.
Please note: We will be starting at 7 PM sharp; as this is a guided, group class, any latecomers will be incredibly disruptive to the experience. Please aim to arrive no later than 15 minutes early to sign in and get comfortable.
TOTEM Readings provides mats, bolsters, blankets, straps and other elements for your use during this session, and we regularly disinfect these items in keeping with current guidelines. Please dress comfortably.
This class is for all levels of experience.
