2021 Downtown Twice Around Christmas Parade & Community Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Downtown Twice Around Christmas Parade rolls through the streets of Historic Downtown Albany on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021. The parade starts promptly at 5 p.m. Rain or Shine.
Entries include the Horse Drawn Wagon, community groups, schools, businesses and Santa riding on Albany’s Antique Fire Truck!
The parade route starts at the corner of Broadalbin Street and First Avenue, heads West down First to the Albany Carousel, turns South (left) on Washington St. to Second Avenue, turns East (left) on Second to Broadalbin and North (left) on Broadalbin to First… then we go around again ending up back where we started at Broadalbin Street and First Avenue.
We are excited to present the 2021 parade as our traditional, in-person event. Please make sure to spread out and use the entire 6-block route for viewing the parade.
In 2021, there will be a break between the parade and tree lighting for attendees to reposition for a physically-distanced Community Tree Lighting Ceremony. Enjoy ample space in the large Two Rivers Market parking lot, corner Ferry and Second.
Event partners include Weyerhaeuser, Ram Trucking, Pacific Power, City of Albany, Albany Fire Department, Burcham Metals, Albany Helping Hands, and Xtreme Grafx.
