Job Description: Assistant Lift Mechanic Reports To: Lift Supervisor Summary: Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of lift equipment, winter and summer. The Lift Maintenance Mechanic will maintain, troubleshoot and repair fixed grip aerial lifts and several surface lifts at the direction of the Lift Maintenance Manager. Preventative and routine maintenance is performed year-round in changing and extreme weather conditions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform lift start-up procedure on assigned lifts prior to arrival of Lift Operations staff Competently prepare our fixed grip aerial tramways for non-destructive testing (NDT) Willing and able to participate in all maintenance needs: respond to calls from Lift Operations and Ski Patrol in a timely and safe manner Use of complex problem solving to determine equipment and time needed to address problems Maintain a positive attitude, including during high stress situations Able to work together with all Magic staff in high operational tempo situations Responsible for accurate tracking of all worked performed Assists in preparing lifts for annual inspection
