Press release from Stamford Public Schools: December 3, 2021 - 12:54pm FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:                                                 Stamford, Conn -- Stamford Public Schools (SPS) has named Justin T. Martin to the position of Public Affairs Officer. Mr. Martin fills the position vacated by the departure of former Public Affairs Officer Sharon Beadle. Mr. Martin most recently served as the Chief Strategy Officer for The Management Solution, Inc. (TMS), a K-12 education management consultant firm.  Mr. Martin began his career as a journalist, working for several media outlets, including Newsday on Long Island, Foster's Daily Democrat in New Hampshire, and the Augusta (Georgia) Chronicle.  He has held positons as the Public Information Officer for the Richmond County (Georgia) School system and the Cambridge (Massachusetts) Public Schools. In 2013, he founded Martin & Associates, Inc. By 2018, he and his 17-member support staff provided school-to-home communications services, including crisis management, government relations, employee communications, media relations, and executive coaching to more than 60 public education, college, and nonprofit sector clients across the country. The company merged with TMS in 2020.  Mr. Martin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at the University of Rhode Island.   "Justin brings to Stamford a wealth of experience as a communications professional in K-12 schools," said Dr. Tamu Lucero, Superintendent of Stamford Public Schools.
