Miro is a 3 year old mini poodle who weighs 8 lbs. He was rescued from the meat markets of Korea. He's been settling in at his foster home and is excited to find his forever home soon! He has a non-shedding coat that is an option for those who have allergies or simply want a dog who doesn't shed. He will require regular grooming. He is good with dogs and kids. Miro is affectionate, high-energy, loves to play and run/jump around. He does sometimes makes a high-pitch squealing noise when he is left alone. We have tried leaving his favorite sitcom, Friends, on while we are out and it seems to be working for now! Miro is still getting used to walking on a leash. Currently, he pulls, chews on the leash, and jumps on your legs. Continued leash training will be needed. When approaching something new and scary for him (i.e. entering an elevator, stairs, etc), he will refuse to walk. But Miro is quite intelligent and repeat exposure usually allows him to overcome the fear. Miro has been doing really great with crate-training. He will initially complain for a few minutes and then settles down. He doesn't mind being in the crate if he's aware of his humans are nearby. Miro is affectionate and loves giving kisses. He is food-motivated, and was able to learn basic commands like "sit" very quickly. He deserves a devoted family that will make he feel safe and secured so he can shower you back with love. Miro is best suited to a home that has prior dog experience. If there are children in the home, they need to be over the age of 8.
