Hello everyone. My mother's dog needs a new home. Her name is Lucy and she is a Catahoula mix, approx. 50 lbs., approx. 6 years old, has resided in a senior apartment complex where my mother walked her several times per day, for the last 2 years. She's a sweet and loyal dog that is potty trained and usually very well behaved. On leash she can be a bit protective of her owner depending on the aggression of other dogs, but with a verbal correction and tightening of the leash, she responds well and will sit. Sometimes she doesn't even take notice to other dogs. She needs more space to be herself, and does fairly well at dog parks. A farm, ranch, or larger property setting would be good for her. She has been to visit at my home and the other homes of my mother's friends, and she behaves very well with the other dogs. Unfortunately I do not have the ability to bring her to my home as I rent, and am not allowed to have another dog. She's available with a short application and $25 rehome fee per Craigslist guidelines. Her Vaccinations up to date. She is currently residing in Fairfield with a family friend temporarily, needs a home by Monday 12/6. At that point we will be taking her to the Humane Society for placement. If you or someone you know could accept her for a foster home or are willing to give her a permanent home, please let me know.
