Press release from the Howard County Government: 12/3/2021 One person was pronounced dead at the scene.  Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision in Jessup on Friday afternoon in which one person was killed. At approximately 1:15 p.m., a 2008 Toyota Scion was traveling northbound on Dorsey Run Road near Patuxent Range Road when it crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota, 27-year-old Alberto Oscar Rivera-Lopez of Halethorpe, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Howard County General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
