Description
Over the years I’ve had many wonderful partnerships with female singers playing mostly cover songs. I’m a solid guitar player and decent singer (I sing both lead and harmony), but I don’t really enjoy gigging solo. I prefer to join forces with a strong female front woman who has both a great voice and good stage presence.
My idea is simple: Fleetwood Mac to Adele, adult contemporary pop. Maybe some R&B if you like. As a duo with light backing tracks we can play restaurants, microbreweries, wineries, boat clubs, farmer’s markets — it’s a pretty good list of possible venues. I’m happy playing familiar tunes that people enjoy hearing as background music or for listening or dancing. I hope you feel the same way. Here’s a short list of songs I’d like to cover:
Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac
Rolling in the Deep - Adele
Don’t Speak - No Doubt
Carnival - Natalie Merchant
Heat Wave - Linda Ronstadt
All I Wanna Do - Sheryl Crow
At Last - Etta James
Before He Cheats - Carrie Underwood
Black Velvet - Alannah Myles
Brass In Pocket - Pretenders
Chain of Fools - Aretha Franklin
Don’t Stop Believing - Journey
Give Me One Reason - Tracy Chapman
If this all sounds like fun please send me a message with some samples of your voice and tell me a bit about yourself.
I’d like to hold rehearsals at my house in Kent that I share with my wife and our greyhound so would prefer someone who is okay with a big, lovable dog. Thanks for reading!
