CONCORD, NH — Concord police confirmed on Friday they are investigating a suspicious death after an incident at a hotel on Hall Street. Around 8 a.m. on Thursday, police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the Best Western on Hall Street for a report of a man acting suspiciously. According to John Thomas, deputy chief of the Concord Police Department, EMTs were requested and took the man to Concord Hospital where he later died. During an investigation, police discovered the man was not a guest at the hotel but was staying with a registered guest. Thomas said, when officers went to the room, they saw items "in plain sight" and requested a search warrant for the room. Police locked down the floor after that. Thomas said police are not releasing the name of the man. A toxicology report will not be available for probably two months, he said. Information and evidence discovered in the room were also not released. On Friday, police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the homeless camp below the Water Street bridge around 2 p.m. for a report of an overdose. Narcan was used to revive the man and he was taken to Concord Hospital. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected]. View videos on Tony Schinella's YouTube.com channel or Rumble.com channel.
