The Job: Independent contractor status, negotiable up to $25/hr based on experience. In-home, 8-16 hours each week, 3-4 half-days. Occasional weekends.The residence is in the country club area in Novato. About you: You take pride in being neat and orderly.You like people (mostly) and have a cheerful demeanor. You have a can-do attitude.You are a person of high integrity.You are a caring individual and like to support others.You are comfortable working in a home in which you are on your own when the owners are working. (The owners have offices in the house and work remotely.) Job skills required: You have great attention to detail.You’re a good communicator and feel comfortable asking questions to understand what’s required.You love completing tasks and doing them well. Competence is important to you.You enjoy elderly individuals (my mom, who is 94, is now living with us).You are a self-starter and work independently with minimal supervision after learning the ropes. Your responsibilities: You will be responsible for doing light housekeeping and house projects (assisting a longtime housekeeper who works two days /week.)You will be responsible for running various errands in the local area including the library, post office, grocery store, Costco, etc. You will get reimbursed for mileage.You will support the owners with web research as needed as well as ordering from the web.You will provide assistance to the owner’s 94-year-old mother (who is usually cheerful) with non-nursing care such as meals.Experience as a caregiver is a bonus. Our environment: You must be able to function well on your own.You like to laugh and have fun. You believe in personal responsibility, so you are okay admitting mistakes and learning from them.You will have only one supervisor. Requirements: You do not smoke or live in a house where anyone smokes. (I am allergic to cigarette smoke.)You are fully vaccinatedYou are willing to wear a mask in our home.Your hours will be agreed on between you and your supervisor, one of the owners.Getting a background check.You have a car in good working order.
