College/trade school alternative
Jobs
Denver CO
Description
You are done with school. You have considered trade school. OR, you finished college, but you are not finding anything in your major. I've been there, and we might have a good option for you. I have a few stories for you to consider... I was talking to one of our techs the other day and asked him how he found us. He graduated from CSU 4 years ago with a degree in exercise science or health and nutrition (something in that arena), and had done an internship building nutrition programs at a large company. Hated it. When he finished school, he started a job in personal training, but it was tough to get clients and make enough money. Then he found our ad on Craigslist for a painter apprentice. Three years later he is one of our top earners and makes about $90k/year. One of our project managers was working in a large corporation food service when he found our ad for a painter apprentice. He was working every weekend, and most evenings, and working 60-70 hours a week to make about $50k/year. He was (and is) married and had his first child, but was unable to see him after getting home late each night. Started working for us, and within 2 years was one of our top earners as well, and was promoted to project manager this year. We are a painting company, and we like to train from the ground up. We can teach you our systems within about 3 months (on average) and then it is up to you as to how much you make. Our average lead painter makes about $65K/year. So if you are a recent high school graduate, a recent college graduate, or just ready to find a career where you can grow and not have to invest large amounts of money into...in order to get to good income potential, we might be a good option for you. Trade school is great, but you have to invest in the hopes of then getting a job. We pay you during training, and you could be earning over $1000/week within 6 months. What we are looking for... A great attitude. A track record of longevity in your work history. The desire to succeed. You don't just want a paycheck. Must have reliable transportation, be able to pass a background check, not be afraid of heights (up to 22 ft.), and have a Get-shit-done attitude! To apply, fill out our online application: No phone calls please, and one of the last questions is: "Please describe why you think you would be a good fit for Walls By Design"...please also tell me something about you that makes you interesting. Just add: "I am interested because..." Also, if we call you for an interview, ask about our signing bonus. If you don't ask, we won't offer it to you. Thanks!
