Washington County officials formally acknowledged Juneteenth as a holiday last week, stating it will add the date as a paid holiday for county employees. The county joins the State of Oregon in the recognition. Because Juneteenth falls on a Sunday in 2022, employees can plan on having Monday, June 20, off.
