Rubboard needed for Los Swamp Monsters, a Rock and Roll band with HARD Cajun, Creole, Chicano and Redneck influences. Music repertoire ranges from Cajun, Zydeco, Swamp Pop and New Orleans-style RnB to Tex-Mex, Blues, Southern Soul, Honky-Tonk/Outlaw Country and Old-School Rock and Roll. (You'd be surprised how well an accordion fits in with Southern-fried Boogie) So far the lineup is Acoustic Guitar/Harmonica/Accordion, Lead Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Saxophone. (Two Saxophones February onward). A song bank will be available on request (we don't use a setlist on stage) we rehearse as close to weekly as schedules allow. This ain't the military, everybody has a life, and we try to accommodate. Wooden-framed Washboard or Metal Frottoir is not an issue. Vocals or not isn't one either. No drama, no drugs (booze and 420 are fine) and no egos. If you like Buckwheat Zydeco, The Mavericks, Legendary Shack-Shakers or even watched "The Blues Brothers" and thought "damn, I wanna try that!" Drop a line, I'd love to hear from you.
