Tuscaloosa Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor confirmed to local media that at 7:49 p.m., someone called the fast food restaurant and told staff there was a bomb outside.
TPD officers responded to the report and checked the building and parking lot with assistance from K9 trained to detect explosives.
Taylor said it was determined that the threat was unfounded.
She then pointed out that officers blocked off the Taco Bell parking lot during their sweep, while customers and staff remained in the locked building until the all-clear was given at 8:11 p.m.
