PROPERTY YOU WILL ASSIST IN MANAGING: 3 Acre residential property located in the City of Rolling Hills containing a 6,500 sq. ft. home, a 2 BD separate apartment, barn (no animals), and pool. Property was built in 1951 and has extensive mature landscaping. WHO YOU WILL ASSIST: Widow who has lived on the property since 1951. She is now 100 years old and in good health, and exceptionally capable for her age. She has, however, very limited mobility, uses a walker at home, and sometimes a wheelchair outside the home. She has a warm and welcoming personality and many friends of all ages. She loves to both entertain at home and attend social events. WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will assist in the management of the property in coordination with her son and daughter and provide personal assistance. These responsibilities include: Home Management - Interior: • Purchasing groceries and home supplies, preparing and serving meals. • Daily light cleaning and organizing. • Keeping the interior of the home clean, neat, and attractive in appearance • Laundry washing, drying, and putting away. Property Management – Exterior: • Directing work of full time Spanish speaking gardener to ensure property landscaping is neat and properly maintained. • Coordinating with service providers and son as necessary on areas such as pool maintenance, tree trimming, miscellaneous, plumbing, electrical, telephone, internet, and other repairs. Personal Assistance: • Driving employer in her car to appointments and social engagements. • Assisting with matters relating to use of internet and email. • Running errands. • Answering phone, taking messages, and organizing mail. • Assisting with entertainment setup and functions. Personal Caregiving: • Assisting with personal care matters as employer may require. • Protecting employer from falling when walking, using stairs, getting up from prolonged sitting, or getting into or out of vehicles. • Regularly checking in with employer during the day when she is working at her desk on any needs that she may have. About You: • Demonstrated ability to perform required job functions. • Good communication and listening skills. • Excellent references from prior similar employment • Able to work within a budget. • Good driver and driving record. • A caring and giving personality. • Nonuser of tobacco or nonprescription drugs, fully vaccinated.
