My daughter originally tried to put the post up regarding rehoming Sapphire and apparently she’s been bombarded by stupid questions and unrealistic expectations. So I’ll take it over. Sapphire Rose is a 2yr 3m old purebred German Shepard Dog. She’s on the smaller end of the spectrum for her breed, though do not be fooled by that detail. She is absolutely true to her breed in personality. She is loyal. Fearless. Determined. Very smart. Very energetic. She is aloof, not aggressive, to ppl she doesn’t know unless she believes they pose a threat. As my pictures show I trained her as an off leash dog though she is good on leash too. She likes to jog. Play ball. And her favorite game is frisbee. If you want to see the athleticism and agility of a dog, play frisbee with her. It’s amazing. What Sapphire isn’t. She isn’t a designer or show dog. She isn’t a little lap dog. She isn’t a dog you can ignore and leave alone for hours unless you keep her properly exercised. Which is far more than taking her around the block on a 10 min walk or playing ball with her for a few min or taking her outside to for the bathroom then bring her back in. Having those expectations of any dog, let alone a dog like her is unfair and unhealthy for her. Her owner needs have energy equal to hers. And she is good with other dogs but caution needs to be taken with cats and smaller animals. I can not say this with enough emphasis…. SAPPHIRE IS A VERY ENERGETIC WORKING DOG so please do some research about what that means and if you are prepared for a dog with her personality. If you treat her well. If you treat her how a dog should be treated. She will be the most loyal and courageous and loving “best friend” you’ll ever have. If you treat her with disrespect. If you do not exercise her enough. If you only ever want to give her attention when you want to, she will be the exact opposite! There will be a rehoming fee. Originally there wasn’t but the stupid questions and unrealistic expectations by those asking about her clearly showed those ppl are not capable of raising her correctly.
