$15 HR: SEEKING A UNIVERSITY STUDENT TO SPEND TIME (4 hours min a week – flexible schedule) WITH AN ELDERLY MAN IN A CARE FACILITY IN THE 72205 ZIP CODE AS A CARE PARTNER. The care partner will check-in on appearance and mood and share feedback and pics via an app, maybe watch a movie together, set up a video call with family, and to engage in conversation. When the weather is nice, there is a courtyard he likes to sit in to watch the birds and to enjoy the outdoors. (The nursing team manages transfers and care giver duties, so no healthcare experience required.) This man is a voracious reader and enjoys topics about nature, science, space, and is always interested in learning new things. He is a very amiable fellow. His cognitive abilities are good, but slow, so a little patience is necessary. You'll set your own weekly schedule with a 4 hour minimum and the care partner can work anytime between 10 am to 12 pm, 1 pm to 5 pm, and 6 pm to 9 pm Monday through Sunday. Start date is flexible, but the hiring process will take place in December.
