Never fails! There are so many talented musicians in the triangle. Drummers, guitarists, bassists, keyboards, etc. They have the talent, the ear for music, and the desire. They can pick out that obscure riff in a song no one else notices. Then, someone says, "Can I sing a song or two". I can do this, or that, and I know the words. Then they open up their mouths! How can they have such a great ear for music and not realize that can't sing worth a sh*t! I've seen this so much. Either way you lose. If you tell them they can't sing they get mad and there goes the relationship. If you keep quiet, the band suffers. You cannot play that song live because everyone will hear it. Then it's only a matter of time until you can't even get a $400 gig. How do you deal with it?
