I am looking for a situation where I can play with other musicians on a regular basis. Maybe you are too. I've done (and still do) a good amount of study, learned from private teachers and books, played lots of solo gigs and some band gigs but not a great deal of band experience. All of it was light-rock and/or jazz. Need to get time away from books/backing tracks and have more time with a live band. I'm interested in instrumentals (but that's not in stone), covers, and having some aspect of improvisation. My level is advanced beginner to intermediate, which I know is all relative. The goal is to play with bass and drums, have a situation to use and improve the book-knowledge, make music because we love to, and keep the idea of gigs on the horizon because playing live for an audience is a great experience.
