Description
I been in an AC/DC tribute band playing angus young since I was 15. I’m 28 now and I’d like to do something along with my other project. I’m a professional and have played all over the US playing casinos, concert halls, theaters, I just played the Sun bowl in Texas last month and I even played at a church with my band I have now. What I’m trying to say is that I have some pretty cool connections and my AC/DC band is always in need of another band to do shows with. Consider this project booked to play. Here’s where things get different because according to Craigslist, no one in a 200 mile radius has posted about this style of music. My influences are (for gods sake please no AC/DC) The Wombats - Greek tragedy, give me a try The 1975 - the sound, love it if we made it M83 - intro, wait, midnight city Bleachers - I wanna get better Robert DeLong - global concepts Hippo Campus - baseball, buttercup Vancouver sleep clinic - someone to stay Roosevelt - fever, sign, yr love Empire of the Sun - high and low Mgmt - anything off their first album Oliver tree - hurt, cash machine, do you feel me Cold War kids - fist Green day I’m also into stuff like: Jimmy eat world Falling in reverse A day to remember Van halen Hot action cop (cause who the hell doesn’t like fever for the flava?) Motley Crue Crystal castles Kid cudi The killers Blink-182 Rush Tal Bachman Walk the moon Bastille Of monsters and men Greta van fleet Led Zeppelin Foster the people Modest mouse Fun. The foundations Owl city Ozzy Simple plan Tycho Lorde Wolfmother Now if you made it this far, I want you to understand that I’m just trying to make it very clear that I would like to be apart of something newer sounding but have no problem mixing it up wherever we see fit. I’m very open and I love a lot of different styles but these are just my favorite right now. Like I mentioned I am a guitarist by trade and have noooooooo problem letting someone else take the “lead parts”. I would actually prefer to chill a bit and and do some rhythm guitar but most of all I would really love to sing. The first list I put up (way up there👆🏻) are all styles I can sing comfortably. I have never played music like this before but if you listen to a song or 2 from that first list, it sounds fun as hell. (Check out hippo campus - baseball, and bleachers at least) I mean, you made it this far, right? We would need keys, 1 more guitar (lead), drums with added triggers because that’s always fun, bass, and I’d prefer if everyone could maybe have some back up vocals under their belt but it’s not necessary. I never written music before but I really would like to try to do original stuff but my expectations are to be doing covers for a while till things are established. I would prefer to jam with people around my own age because I’ve been jamming with dudes in their late 40s-60s since I was 15. I’m easy going, laid back and like to have fun. I get wild sometimes but I’m very responsible and I don’t judge anyone. As long as you’re good for the show, not a danger to yourself or others or make the band look bad, I’m cool with whatever you do. If you’re interested, hit me up. Text or email.
