Description
This position manages a team of 6-8 Assistant Superintendents in the field and reports directly to the Owner.
Responsibilities:
• Must have the ability to keep the project on schedule, on budget and materials that are needed daily.
• Communicates daily with team members, Project Manager and Owners
• Trains employees in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Responsible for the job site to be clean and organized at all times
• Responsible for the job site to be safe at all times
• Knowledge in operating machinery and tractors
• Informs the Project Manager/Owners of any Project Change Orders and or client related issues
• Informs Project Manager/Owners of any employee related issues
• Responsible for company vehicle and maintenance
• Communicates with Owners if any issues arise
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Knowledge of plant material
• Knowledge of low voltage lighting
• Knowledge of masonry work
• Knowledge in job site residential construction safety
• Knowledge in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting irrigation and drainage systems
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in Landscape Residential Construction.
• Valid and current California Driver’s License (subject to insurance company approval)
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Must have writing and grammar skills
• Must be able to read construction plans
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to speak and read English and Spanish
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks and the ability to delegate when appropriate
• Ability to function well in a fast paced and busy environment
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs at times.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend up to 8-10 hours per day
• Must be able to sit and drive in a truck at times
