ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF HANDCRAFT The moment I became a parent, my drive to protect the earth and its future inhabitants deepened immensely. As an artist and educator, I’ve long used traditional materials with questionable environmental impact, that were difficult to clean up and toxic to inhale. Fortunately, lots of dedicated and caring artists have searched the globe and looked back across history to find materials and techniques that are beautiful as well as kind to our bodies and the earth. Our workshops connect you with these tools and techniques, and bring you the best of what I know about art and healing, drawn from more than a decade facilitating arts programs in hospitals, museums, shelters and prisons.
