I've seen your post for almost 2 years (a lot of us have), and since then I searched, jammed with, and found the perfect band. I say this because I feel bad for you that you've limited your search to just cover bands, cover bands dont want the small kit you are playing, they want a "regular" drummer with a "regular" kit. An original band or singer/songwriter would love working with you, a cocktail kit is perfect for them - if only you would open your mind... I know I was very interested in getting with you but you prevented me from contacting you....sometimes it's good to "niche down" as they say, but if you're getting no bites then widen your search...just had to say that. It would've been great to create some magic with you but since I widened my search I found the perfect band....good luck.
