Celebrating Black History Month 2022, the Black Butterfly Network will kick off "From Langston to Lexington with Love" From Langston to Lexington with Love is a Black Cultural Art event to celebrate Black History Month. During the event, Black Butterfly Network will introduce it's program to all attendees and announce future events. This Black Cultural Art event is being co-hosted by Anything For Our Youth Group Inc. and Davidson Local . These two organizations work together to promote, and support small non-profits and small businesses within Davidson County. The event will be honoring the legacy of Langston Hughes and presenting local artist to attendees. The art work presented will be available for viewing and purchase. This is a Black Tie event and all attendees are asked to dress for the occasion. There will be heavy hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, live music, networking, and more. Donation is: $50 per person *Covid-19 Protocol*119 W. Third Ave Event Center is a joint facility of the J. Smith Young YMCA and we will adhere to the YMCA Covid-19 protocol. The J. Smith Young YMCA is aligned with the NC Governor's order, which includes a mandate that face coverings are required indoors at all times. Anything For Our Youth (AFOYgroup) is a group of folks who believe in coming together to put on events for our youth. We love to see kids being kids, and having fun, and enjoying the laughter. All functions are provided for the youth at no cost to them. We seek donations, and volunteers to put together fun filled events.
