Continuing in support of local manufacturing with this discussion on the possible next application for a MN Dual Training Pipeline grant. Greetings, Please mark your calendar to participate in a live (yes as in live and in-person!) Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce Manufacturing CoHort meeting on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Anoka Area Chamber Office. The agenda will focus on Workforce Training and the use of MN Dpt. Labor grant proceeds allowing for your teams to acquire new skills. This training will meet todays needs that you have to improve efficiency as well as allow for your employees to advance in their careers. We are coming thru the successful first round offering of the MN Dual-Training Pipeline grant. Currently there are multiple local manufacturers that are participating with this $120,000 grant and training 15 individuals at the Anoka Technical College. This CoHort meeting will allow for us to share a conversation about: * What are the training needs that could be provided to meet your workforce development expectations? * Does it make sense to submit to the Dual Training Pipeline grant offering for next year? * Should we offer the same coursework certification as we did this year? * Do we want to consider offering training on certifications that follow this years Machine Tool 1 certification? * What other Dual Training competency models could we offer if needed? * Would there be specific manufacturers that would want to have assistance in submitting their own Dual Training grant? * Other training topics as we discover. The best audience for this meeting would be owners, HR folks, supervisors and GM’s. Anyone interested in how the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce uses a tool like the MN Dual Training Pipeline grant as a way to develop their workforce.
