This is a special time to help those who are experiencing grief during the holiday season.
The holiday season is always hard for those who have experienced a recent loss. And the last couple years have been riddled with losses. There are so many things going on during this time of year, and you may just not feel like celebrating. Yet life goes on. And there are people counting on you. We can't take care of others until we take care of ourselves. That's why we invite you to join us for an hour to just get away and put your loss in perspective. This is an experience that is designed with no pressure on you. All you have to do is breathe.
Our guest speaker this year is Alicia Wingfield, a local social worker who lost her husband, Barry, very suddenly several years ago. She'll reflect on her own grief journey in a way that is honest and authentic.
This event is sponsored by Celebrate Recovery at Park Hill. It is free to the public, but registration is requested in order to help us gauge space needs.
