Become a homeowner with Habitat! Attendees will be given program information regarding a path to homeownership. This meeting is in-person. Sign up to RSVP--limited spots available for in-person meetings. Please RSVP for every person coming with you to the meeting. We will be at the Virginia M. Tutt Branch Public Library. If you cannot attend, please contact us so we can open your spot for someone else. Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County provides housing solutions for members of the community. Our Homeownership Program provides opportunities for homeownership for applicants that meet our three selection criteria: ability to pay, need for housing, and willingness to partner. Future homeowners partner with us to save for a down payment and closing costs, earn Sweat Equity, learn valuable home maintenance and financial skills, and build a lifelong relationship with the Habitat community! The first step is to attend an Application Meeting. At these meetings, you will learn about the program. Applications will be emailed to you after you attend. We are not a custom home builder. Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County has built over 200 homes with low to moderate income households. Habitat provides a hand-up, not a hand-out.
