Hadassah Orlando will present a musical program with well-known Cantor Allan Robuck at 11:30 AM at its December 7th meeting at Congregation Ohev Shalom, 613 Concourse Parkway South, Maitland, FL 32751. Cantor Robuck will present selections from his musical repertoire drawn from his long career of providing musical enjoyment to audiences in in the Orlando area. Reservations are required. Admission is $18. Please RSVP to Nancy Greenfield at [email protected] or call 407-415-6892. Cantor Robuck has been the cantor at Congregation Ohev Shalom since 1991. His primary cantorial training was with Cantor Moshe Friedler of Congregation Rodeph Shalom in Tampa. He attended the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where he received a degree in Music Education with a minor in jazz piano performance. After teaching public school music in Ohio, Cantor Robuck relocated to Orlando and worked as a performer at Walt Disney World for 12 years. He first appeared at Congregation Ohev Shalom as a member of the choir. In 2001, he became a member of the Cantors Assembly, the world's largest organization of professional cantors. In addition to leading services at Congregation Ohev Shalom, his duties include leading the adult choir, teaching in the Religious School and preparing students for B'nai Mitzvah. He also leads the popular monthly "Piano Shabbat" service, a complete Friday might service with the cantor at the piano. Admission is $18. Reservations are required.
