We are a construction sub-contractor with a high volume of daily materials delivery. Looking for an experience receiving person who has attention to detail for checking accuracy of delivered materials, confirming against purchase orders what is back-ordered vs what is delivered and clearly marking packing slips with that information. It is crucial for the materials to be grouped together by project and for the receiving person to have very good organizational skills with construction materials, marking all packing slips with the order locations and tagging corresponding materials so that the field crew can quickly find needed supplies each morning. The right candidate will be focused, self-motivated, takes pride in accuracy and organization, can communicate clearly with office and other staff both verbally and in writing and has basic computer skills to look up orders in the system, make delivery notes etc. Ability to drive a forklift, use of hand tools, attention to safety and familiarity with construction materials required. Knowledge of glass and glazing materials, windows/doors, hardware, extrusions is a plus. Physical requirements: ability to lift/move/transfer over 50 lbs throughout the day, being on your feet working for a full 8 hours.
