HAMDEN, CT — Connecticut's coronavirus situation continues to move in the wrong direction as winter approaches.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus reached its highest point since April. The average number of daily cases continues to rise, and the percentage of tests coming back positive is also elevated.

There were 11 average daily cases per 100,000 residents in the previous two-week reporting period. It's important to note that a few cases can have a large impact on a municipal case rate, especially for small towns.

Around 65 percent of Hamden residents are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus as of Dec. 1, according to DPH.
