Press release from Anne Arundel County Public School: December 2, 2021 The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County has adjusted the two calendars proposed by the school system's Calendar Committee but delayed formal adoption of the 2022-2023 calendar until January to allow Board members to get more input from constituents. The changes made by the Board at its December 1 meeting included designating April 21, 2023, as a day which all AACPS schools and offices are closed for students and staff and extending the last day of school for students by a day. Under the adjusted proposals, the last day of classes would be June 16, 2023, in Calendar A and June 14, 2023, in Calendar B. Both calendars call for the first day of classes to be August 29, 2022. The two revised calendars are posted online at www.aacps.org/calendar. The Board will continue its discussion of the calendar on January 5, 2022.
