MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A Mercer County man was arrested from Newark Airport in connection with the shooting death of Ewing resident Cedric Hennessee Flippin, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said. U.S. Marshals arrested Daryl K. Smith, 30, on Thursday afternoon at Newark Liberty International Airport on an airplane departing for North Carolina, Onofri said. He is charged with first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and second-degree certain persons not to possess a firearm. Around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 29, Ewing police were dispatched to Public Storage on Parkside Avenue in Ewing. When officers arrived on scene the found Flippin unresponsive on the ground outside of one of the storage lockers, Onofri said.
