Ever dreamed of joining Fort Worth's finest? The Fort Worth Police Department is now accepting applications for police trainee.
"The Fort Worth Police Department is looking for men and women from diverse backgrounds to join our Police Department," said Assistant Chief Julie A. Swearingin. "This is your opportunity to be the positive change in your community, to give back and truly make a difference."
Applicants must successfully pass a written or electronic test, physical assessment test, extensive background check, polygraph examination, interview board, medical/physical examination and psychological examination. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED certificate plus 12 semester hours from an accredited college or university. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Applicants must be between 20 and 45 years old and must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Applications will be accepted online only through Dec. 17. The Civil Service exam will be administered in-person at multiple times Jan. 18-24, 2022, at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex, 505 W. Felix St.
