Firefighters Battling Townhouse Blaze In Lakewood: Reports

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Firefighters were battling a structure fire Friday morning off Route 70 in Lakewood, according to reports. There are lane closures on the eastbound side of Route 70 in place because of the fire, the state Department of Transportation said. Ocean County Scanner News reported the fire was on David Court in Lakewood, which is in the Briar Park townhouse complex. The Lakewood Scoop reported Lakewood and Jackson fire companies were responding to the fire, and posted video showing smoke billowing from one of the structures.
